Oh how I love blue shoes

These are my favourite pair of shoes, they are blue, I love blue shoes. The whole outfit above is built around my shoes, and also the cute little feather headband, both of which I like to wear a lot.

Before I continue, I must ask you to pardon the face I'm making in this photo - I'm not sure what I was going for here, I only got two photos of this, in the other one I even cracked a lovely smile, but was doing something strange with the arms that made the whole outfit look utterly horrible really. So this is the lesser of two evils.

Have come the the conclusion, hot pink + blue = wicked colour combination, no?
Also little black dresses with lace necklines are just the sweetest things you could wear.

Just a quick note to say - thanks for all comments on the post bellow guys, and for sharing how you get yourself motivated to get things done, been a bit quite because have been trying to get something massive done in relation to university. Promise something a bit more interesting from me soon - I am the worst of bloggers my apologies - I am also the worst of uni students at present too. Have been trying out some of your tactics though, hopefully they will help.

Have a finger sprain too which does not help with the typing, my poor little pinky is bruised and swollen, it looks like a fat little slug... ouches.

In the mean time I'll leave you with this - it makes me happy

Nothing gets done

Posing a question to the blog'o'verse - what motivates you to get things done, when you have no energy, no motivation, and no idea where to begin?

I feel like a tiny little ant standing at the bottom of a little mountain sometimes.
Staring up wondering exactly how the heck I'm going to get to the top.
I know I should buckle down and get to it, but it's just not coming.

Oh how much easier it is just to look at one...more...website....

Hope you guys are being much more productive than I am.

On a much more positive note - I have new followers! I love new followers - welcome! Make yourself at home, don't mind the mess. I'm thinking about doing a giveaway soon as well to jump on the bandwagon and to celebrate when I get my work done - so look out for that in the next couple of weeks - it will be a surprise I promise you that!!

Lust have

These are the lovely Jeffrey Campbell - Lite, aren't they gorgeous sigh. This is what comes from spending hours browsing the Solestruck website - I end up desperately wanting shoes that I can't afford. With shipping cost + currency conversion + poorness of me = I don't have enough money for these beautiful babies. But they desperately want to be on my feet I know they do.

I'm not going to have the money anytime soon, so I'll just have to stick with having these on my desktop and wishing. I keep hinting to the boyfriend to buy them for me, but he actually has less money than me so really this is a fruitless task.

Romping around

Oh how original I am with my titles. I promised you an outfit post - here it is. It's actually what I wore a couple of days ago to go out for brunch. This is my Forever 21 romper! I love it so much. It has little red flowers on it, hence the red tights.

I love wearing bright colours in winter to try and brighten up the dreary weather outside.
I didn't have a chance to get a photo of my outfit today, It was something that I really loved, but I had to change in a hurry, so no time for snappy snappy. I may try to recreate a variation on a theme though - my creative juices have been flowing, due to need to procrastinate once again.

I have been wearing many a colourful tight at the moment too, I've been trying some of the less common colours, the turquoises and corals and been really enjoying them. The brightness is appealing. Wearing them under open weave tights is exciting too, although I think I need a lacier pair to get the effect I am after.

Any way must dash things to do before I sleep, much more romping round for me.

To be blissed out

Just for a minute I want to forget all the things I have to do this week - and just float, and be blissful, with no stress. Just for a minute please, switch my brain off.

Sorry if I made you dizzy

I've been playing round with the header - so you haven't been going crazy, things have been changing. As in, yes the photo did change, and no you were not imagining it the photo then became a different size. I'm not quite sure if it's right yet, but it will do for now.
Expect it to be in a bit of a state of flux, it's how I things, change is good.

What do you think of the new header? It was originally just a shot of my socks and shoes for an outfit post but I thought it was a pretty cool perspective shot - me looking geekily at my feet if you will. Plus the inner geek at me loves the idea of a head with knee high socks and matching purple shoes.

I am a geisha girl

Well not quite a geisha girl but get a load of these sleeves aye! I could do one heck of seductive dance with those.
Funny story about this dress. First saw it on the rack, (Missioni style chain store rip off) - and LOVED IT, but...it was $90 a little more that I was willing to pay for something from a chain store, and I was poor, so I didn't bother even trying it on, because then I would probably want it. Later - it went down to $40 - I thought, score! tried it, and it looked horrible!! made me looked pregnant and was way too short, so I thought, hmmm not for me. Then it when down to $20, and I thought, maybe give it one more go, it's pretty cheap, but I was good - and just because it was cheap doesn't magically make it look better on me, because really it didn't.

So I put the beautiful on the hanger dress with the amazing sleeves out of my head and went on with me life, fast forward a year later and I'm in the local Salvation Army store and what do I spy - THE DRESS, and it's in my size! I think, hmmm maybe I should try it, just give it a go, I mean it was marked as $4 so why not? And by some magic trick of time and someone else wearing and owning it before and stretching it out - it actually looked good on me - I swear it had lengthened out because when I tried it on it was super mini indecent length. So score Dress was mine and for $4! I have to wonder what amazing dress changing adventures it had to go through to change to become my dress, but I am so happy it is mine now!

Moral of the story - good things come to those who wait - and you should never just buy things that are cheap that don' t look good, and also sometimes clothes go through a magic morphing process and change from ugly caterpillars and come out magic clothing butterflies

Off to go flutter my sleeves seductively.....

(oh and yes that is a pom pom on my head - isn't it fabulous, I highly recommend wearing a pom pom on your head, you'll love it, mine is attached to a headband)

What a lurker I am and 'The Fame'

I am a terrible blog lurker - I have all my lovely daily read, which I check in on almost religiously apart from when I am rushed off my feet, which is most of the time actually. However, I really use them as a way of distracting me from all the horrible amounts of work I have to do. Still I am a lurker, I read, I laugh I enjoy, but I leave without commenting! I just don't think to do it, I guess because I try to conserve my time, clickity click and on my way. Which is horrible of me! I should show my appreciation of the effort that is being put in.
I try honestly I do, sometimes I actually do remember to comment - and sometimes I think I've commented but I actually haven't, and them sometimes blogger will trick me with it's tricky technology and make me thing my comment has gone through when it hasn't - not that is completely not my fault!

So any way long story short, or rather short story long - expect more comments from me. Because I love all your blogs!

On another note - completely unrelated I bought Lady Gaga's CD 'The Fame'. I'm a little undecided on it. I liked what I heard on the radio so I thought I would give it a go. I think it might take a little while to grow on me. It's a bit of a mix really, good dance music, which is what I was looking for. I haven't bought a CD in a long time, so I had some pretty high expectations I guess. Well see how me and the Lady go getting to know one another. Has anyone else had a listen to the CD - what did you think of it?

A little tip for all of you - getting enough sleep will make your body love you - sleep deprivation will make you do silly things like leave you keys in the fridge and be late because you can't find them in the morning. *Sigh* sometimes I hate being a student.
